Incident at Vichy

Beckett Theater
410 42nd. Street
New York, NY
Phenomenal performance.
Touching story about the impact of the Holocaust in France.
Small intimate theater in a complex of theaters.
In the detention room of a Vichy police station in 1942, eight men have been picked up for questioning. Why are they there? What have they done? More than a Holocaust drama, Miller expertly weaves the fears, concerns, uncertainty, and self-denial of a disparate group awaiting an unspeakable fate. There is no good or evil, no black or white – only delusion, complicity, silence, and resolve. A gentile Austrian prince, inexplicably detained, becomes the focal point as he clashes with a Jewish doctor and must make a life-or-death moral decision. Emotionally captivating and intellectually stimulating, Miller shows that doing nothing can be damning and inaction can destroy.

Blood Type: RAGU

Actor's Playhouse
100 7th Avenue S.
New York, NY.
Fantastic one man show with about 20 characters about growing up in NY's own Little Italy.
laughed so hard.......then even teared up a bit.
Blood Type: RAGU is a hilarious and poignant exploration of the Sicilian immigrant experience based on the life of writer/performer Frank Ingrasciotta. This one-man show features more than 20 characters, who live, love and laugh as they struggle to thrive in a new culture, while nurturing the traditions of the old. It's not drama . . . it's just family!

Celebrity Autobraphy: In Their Own Words

The Triad Theatre
158 W. 72nd Street
New York, NY
Hysterical readings from actual celebrity autobiographies such as Vana White, Tommy Lee, NSYNC, Burt Reynolds, to name a few.
Readings done by comedians and actors. A few we saw that you may know were Sherry Sheppard, the View; and Richard Belzer, Munch from Law and Order SVU.
We laughed so hard and would again in a minute!
